When on the Isle of Wight it can be difficult to escape the sea, but why would you want to? The smell of salt in the air, the breeze rolling up the sandy beaches to greet you on the promenade, so why not head out to join it?

We think wing foiling, the latest water sport craze, is a must-try amongst friends. It’s described as a mix of surfing, windsurfing and kiteboarding. White Water, offers a 3-hour tutorial session off the coast of the stunning Dunroamin Beach, located in between Sandown and Shanklin on the east coast of the island.

So, what’s stopping you from taking to the water for an afternoon to have some fun on the waves?

How to get there

By train: Take the train down to Portsmouth Harbour and jump on a Wightlink ferry to take you across to Fishbourne.

By road: From Fishbourne you can take a 20 minute taxi or a 1 hour bus journey to Sandown.
