Glasgow’s famous Celtic Connections festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2023. From folk music to fun workshops and embracing Scottish and Celtic culture, this amazing event is perfect for friends, couples, and larger groups, with over two weeks of celebrations within the city.
We’d love for you to explore the city whilst soaking up the culture between events, so why not take some time wandering the streets of Glasgow between events? With amazing travel links throughout the city, it will be a breeze! See below for all the info and I hope you have a fun time.
Sign yourself up for a Glasgow Tripper card. This will allow cheaper bus travel around the city and surrounding areas. Make sure to prep this in advance as this card can take a few days to reach you by post. Please check the terms and conditions before travel.
Some events can be booked online. All events can be booked in person at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (open Monday - Saturday, 10am - 5pm).

By train: Glasgow Central station has great links to Carlisle, which links Scotrail to the north of England and continues down into London. Glasgow Central also has expert links to the surrounding areas including Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and Inverness.
By road: Glasgow roads are likely to be busy during this celebration of culture, and please remember to check the weather for icy conditions before driving.
