Want to try something different? Karen’s Diner is an interactive whirlwind where you’ll be served great food by horrifically rude waiters and you can blow off a bit of steam by throwing the complaints right back at ‘em!

Workshops and Demos

There are over 200 workshops available throughout the event ranging from beginner to advanced and across many different crafting styles. Session can last from an hour to three with classes on crochet, dressmaking, peg loom weaving, needle felting and so many more. Pop along to a new addition twilight class for a glass of fizz whilst you learn.

Crafting Celebs

Learn from the best with talks and Q&As from famous faces in the world of craft. The Crochet Queen, Katie Jones will be on hand to reflect on her awesome 10 years of colourful crochet fashion, and Colèchi, a London knitting collective determined to teach the capital how to sew and knit will be making their debut at the festival.

Fashion Exhibits

Wander through the colourful and creative fashion exhibits where contemporary makers have created clothing from a wide range of materials and styles. From colourful crochet dresses to streamlined high-fashion designs, individuality and craftsmanship are on show here.

Catwalk Shows

Take a break from the wandering and watch one of the many catwalk shows, from the Dressmaking Competition to lower stakes showcases, all the designs and creation have been created with personal flair and expert style using a range of material.  

Textile Installations

Another creative and colourful exhibition to take a wander through. This textile art installation will feature contemporary works from all over the world from artists using techniques such as knitting, tapestry weaving, and hand embroidery.

Community Quilt Project

Add your quilt section to the live creation of the ever-growing quilt with sustainable fabric hexies. Not sure how to but still want to get involved? Lauren Tedstone of the Sewing Bee and Nerrisa Pratt of The Edit will be on hand to show you how.

Supply Run

Find that exact shade of wool, or the right patterned fabric at one of the many stalls in the shopping village. Big brand names, specialist suppliers, and small boutique crafters will have their wares on display. Get a good look at colours and thicknesses before buying – much better than online shopping.
