Chicken wing popularity is at an all-time high, whether you prefer something hot and spicy or mild but flavourful, all wing lovers will feel right at home here.

Wing Fest is the UK’s largest celebration of everything chicken wing, one of the most popular foods of this generation. Wing lovers will descend on Birmingham for a (hopefully!) sunny weekend in August full of sauce, spice, and flavour. Last year, the London event saw 10,000 attendees turn up hungry for wings so this year’s event in Birmingham is set to be big.

Who does the best wing?

You’ll be able to try some of the best wings the UK has to offer and witness the moment the judges crown the top wing chef of ten of the country’s top restaurants, street food traders and BBQ team. You’ll also have a say in who you think should be crowned King or Queen of the Wing in two separate categories (Best Buffalo Wing and Best Wild Wing), by voting on the day. The mouth-watering smells of smoke, spice and the sweet mellow BBQ will be enough to make anyone feel hungry so make sure you leave space in your stomach to devour as many wings as you can, and make sure to try them all to be able to make a fully informed decision!

More than the wing?

Whilst getting to try some of the best wings in the country may be the top of your list for this event, there are plenty of other attractions to enjoy, including live music, wing-related games, and even axe-throwing! If you’re feeling brave and have entered the event with an empty stomach you may want to join in with one of two eating competitions on the main stage. You can try your luck in the Wing Eating Challenge, seeing how many wings you can gobble down within the time limit, or if you think you can handle the heat, the Lava Wing Challenge, where you will be eating some of the spiciest wings available. You can sign up for these competitions at the event, with details and rules provided at sign up.

Your ticket will include all live entertainment and games, as well as your own Wing Fest truckers’ hat, the perfect keepsake from your trip.
