Not made plans for either bank holiday in May? It’s not too late to attend a banging festival and explore a brand-new place in the same weekend.

Teddy Rocks Festival

3rd-5th May

A festival full of the best cover bands the UK has to offer, including covers of legendary acts Iron Maiden (Hi-on Maiden) and Guns N’ Roses (Guns 2 Roses). Cover bands not your thing? There are plenty of up-and-coming new acts filling the stages.

Lost Minds Festival

4th May

Newcastle’s hit one-day dance festival is back with a huge line-up of DJ’s and 2000’s legend Example taking to the stage. Prepare to be amazed with laser lightshows and flashy special effects for a full party atmosphere. Enjoy multiple stages, and a party to remember.

Liverpool Sound City

4th-5th May

A brilliant excuse to explore the city of Liverpool whilst getting to know the city’s latest talents. Headliners Caity Baser and The Snuts, are set to have the whole of Liverpool rocking. The festival is held in venues all over the city, so enjoy exploring lesser-known areas and finding something new.

Slaughterhouse Festival

3rd-5th May

Head into Birmingham for Slaughterhouse Festival, a 3-day heavy metal festival in the Castle and Falcon famous for hosting the city’s punk scene for decades, with bands from all over the world gracing its stage. If you’re a fan of something heavier, this one is for you!

We Are FSTVL

24th-25th May

Back for its 11th year, We Are FSTVL Sunday headliners Chase and Status will be partying in Dagenham. Visit six stages over two days for the best bumping dance tunes throughout the weekend, make sure you’re wearing your best dancing shoes!

Shindig Festival

23rd-26th May

Shindig Festival is taking over Somerset’s green fields for its 10th anniversary and final year of running. This year's theme is ‘magical creatures’ with weird and wonderful art installations throughout the grounds and a fantastic Groove Armada DJ set as the Sunday headliner. Not one to miss.

Gala Festival

24th-26th May

Another London weekend of top dance tunes? Yes please! Gala Festival prides itself on good music, sustainability, and a strong community feel perfect for a weekend away with friends and maybe even returning with a few more. Not sure on your festival outfit? Florals will be the go-to; this year's theme is ‘Back in Bloom’.

Slam Dunk Festival

25th May – Hatfield and 26th May - Leeds

A May bank holiday staple, Slam Dunk is back, and headlining are You Me at Six with their final UK festival after a 10-year career. The 2024 line-up will have fans of pop-punk and the early 2010’s scene jumping, with Palaye Royale, Funeral for a Friend, and The All-American Rejects making an appearance.
