Learn how to capture beautiful wildlife photos in the picturesque setting of Richmond Park. In this dedicated photography workshop you’ll experience “in the field” tutorials in front of the majestic red and fallow deer that occupy the park.
You won’t believe this is London
Richmond Park may just be a short train ride away from central London, but it feels like a completely different world. The park feels more like the countryside than city and is full of beautiful backdrops including silver birch trees, ferns and lakes. It’s also home to over 600 wild deer, who freely roam the park.

The Wildlife Photography Workshop is suitable for beginners and a brilliant opportunity to start mastering the art of photography. The workshops are private, so you’ll benefit from the undivided attention of your guide.

The Wildlife Photography Workshop is scheduled to fall during the most picture perfect time of day. Golden hour - the hour before the sun sets - will ensure you get the optimum light for your photography and come home with photos to be proud of.
How to get there
By Train: Richmond is an easy train ride away from central London (20 minutes from London Waterloo.) From Richmond station it’s a 30 minute walk to the workshop meeting point, or you can catch the number 65 or 371 bus to take up to the park.
By car: Richmond Park has several car parks - all with free parking - the Pembroke Lodge car park is closest to the workshop starting point.
Where to eat
Close to the park you can stop for a bite at Hollyhock Cafe - a cosy cafe selling hearty food and offering beautiful views of the River Thames. Or, if you stroll down Richmond Hill to the riverside you’ll find The White Cross - a traditional pub with a big waterside terrace.
