Harry Potter Magical Tour of London
Leave the muggles behind on magical tour of London says Rosie Carr
Iconic London sights
The Original Harry Potter Locations Tour is for small groups and offers you a personalised adventure through the city. The tour will take you past some of London’s most famous landmarks. You’ll start at Southwark Cathedral - London’s oldest gothic cathedral - then pass by classic London sights including Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, the Millennium Bridge and the London Eye.
No ordinary tour
As well as the tour taking you by some of London’s best-known landmarks, you’ll also see some of the city’s hidden gems - all with a Harry Potter twist. You’ll walk past the ruins of the mediaeval Winchester Palace, along with the historic Great Scotland Yard and the Clink Prison - one of London’s oldest and most notorious prisons.
Glide down the river
This isn’t just a walking tour, this Harry Potter experience also includes a boat ride along London’s River Thames. Your magical adventure will continue on the river, where you’ll be able to see more of the city’s famous sights by boat.
Study like Hermione
Be sure to brush up on your Hogwarts knowledge before you go, as you can expect Harry Potter themed quizzes and games along the way. This interactive experience includes fun quizzes and magical spells throughout your walk.
Platform 9¾
The adventure ends at the famous platform 9¾ at Kings Cross Station, where Harry’s journey to Hogwarts began. Here you’ll have the opportunity to get enchanting photos in front of this iconic spot.
How to get there
By Train: The tour starts at Southwark Cathedral, which is a 2-minute walk from London Bridge station.
By car: If you’re arriving by car the nearest car park is in St Thomas Street, a 10-minute walk away.
Where to eat
The tour takes you through Borough Market, one of London’s best food markets awash with street food to tuck into. Our fave snack is the epic cheese toastie from Kappacasein: made with a combination of Montgomery cheddar, Ogleshield, London raclette, comte, onions and leeks sandwiched between slices of sourdough it’s to die for!
Accessibility
This tour is fully wheelchair accessible and service animals are welcome.
